Terms of Use and Sale
The ground rules, in plain terms: what you can do with Nova, what you pay, and how to stop.
This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the French version prevails. Read the French version.
1. The service
Nova helps people understand and use artificial intelligence tools at work: a guided path, demos, tool pages, step-by-step guides, pages by job, solutions to set up, tracking of what’s new, and a company workspace (budget, catalog, tool requests). The service is published by Marceau Ruis, a sole proprietor under French law (entrepreneur individuel); see the Legal Notice.
2. Demo access and subscription
Without a subscription, you have demo access: you can browse everything, and a few demos are open in full. A subscription opens everything else. Nova changes every week: features may change, be added, or be removed.
Complimentary access. Nova may give a person full access free of charge, for a set period or with no time limit. Complimentary access costs nothing and never turns into a paid subscription: when it ends, you return to demo access, and your account and your data are kept. You can subscribe whenever you like.
3. Your account
Demo access requires no account. To subscribe, you create an account: provide an email address that is your own, keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else is using it. You can delete your account at any time from “My account.”
4. Subscription, prices, and payment
- Plans. They are described on the Pricing page: Solo for one person; Team, Business, and Company for a team, up to the number of seats in the plan. Beyond that, or for a setup carried out by Nova, the plan is available by quote on request, and its terms are set out in the quote.
- Price. It is shown in euros, per month or per year. The price that applies is the one shown at the time you subscribe; the exact amount to pay is shown on the payment page, before you confirm.
- Discount codes. A code is entered at the time of payment, in Nova or on the payment page. It applies according to its terms: the amount or percentage of the discount, its duration (once, several months, or for as long as the subscription lasts), the plans it covers, its expiration date, and its number of uses. A code that has expired, has been used up, or does not cover the chosen plan is not applied. Only one code per subscription; a code has no cash value. The amount to pay, discount included, is shown before you confirm.
- Payment. Payment is made by card, on a secure page hosted by Stripe, our payment provider. Nova does not see or store your card number.
- Renewal. The subscription renews automatically, every month or every year depending on your choice, until you cancel it.
- Canceling. You can cancel whenever you like, from “My subscription,” without having to give a reason. Your access stays open until the end of the period already paid for; no further charge is made after that.
- Changing your mind. If you subscribe as a consumer (a private individual), you have 14 days after subscribing to exercise your right of withdrawal (droit de rétractation): write to hello@novaforwork.com, and you are refunded within 14 days.
- If a price changes. You are notified by email at least 30 days in advance. The new price applies only from the next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
- If a payment fails. You return to demo access. Your account and your data are kept; full access returns as soon as the payment is settled.
- Invoices. They are available in “My subscription.”
- Subscriptions to AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, and the others) are not included: you buy them from their vendors, under their own terms.
5. What Nova is, and what it is not
- Nova provides information and methods. These are not legal, accounting, tax, medical, or financial advice: for a decision that commits you, seek the advice of a professional.
- The prices and features of the tools are taken from their vendors’ pages on the date shown. Check them before you subscribe. Subscriptions to these tools are purchased from their vendors, under their own terms.
- Answers from “Ask Nova” are written by an artificial intelligence: review them, especially the figures and the rules.
- The trademarks mentioned belong to their respective owners. Nova is independent and earns no commission.
6. Proper use
Do not use Nova for an illegal activity, to harm someone, to try to access other people’s data, or to overload the service. Do not enter confidential data or third parties’ personal data in your questions.
7. In a company
The person who creates a company workspace is its administrator: they purchase the team’s subscription, set the budget and the catalog, and respond to requests. They undertake to inform their team of this. Nova does not show them the members’ questions or activity (see Privacy).
8. Liability
Nova is provided with care, but without any guarantee of permanent availability or of freedom from errors. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher cannot be held liable for the consequences of a decision made solely on the basis of information read in Nova, or for the operation of other vendors’ tools. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.
9. Your data
It is described on the Privacy page.
10. Changes and termination
These terms may change; the date of the last update appears at the bottom of the page, and any significant change will be announced in Nova. You can stop using Nova at any time. An account used to cause harm may be closed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a disagreement, first write to hello@novaforwork.com: most problems are resolved that way. Failing that, the French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that protect consumers.
