Agent: build by describing
You describe the app and what proves it works. The agent writes the code, starts the app, and shows it to you in a preview. You then ask for fixes, one at a time.
Replit builds an app or a website from your description, then hosts it. An agent, called “Agent,” writes the code, runs the app, tests it, and shows you the result in a preview. Everything happens in one place: the build, the database, user login, and publishing.
Replit has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Starter, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
Who it’s for: people who want a real small internal tool with data and accounts, and who can live with a little technical vocabulary.

“Free” is for exploring and making everyday progress, without touching your credits. “Power” is sturdier for most work. “Max” is reserved for hard requests. The last two use your monthly credits.
In “Plan” mode, the agent talks things through and breaks the project into tasks, without touching the code. When you are happy with the plan, you start the build.

Replit publishes its prices in dollars. In the iPhone app, the French listing shows Replit Core at €22.00 and €249.99. The pricing page does not give the exact amount of daily credits on the free plan.
| Plan | Price | Who it’s for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter Recommended to start | $0 | Trying it out, making a first mockup |
| Core | $20 per month ($18 per month, billed yearly) | Building a useful tool and keeping it online |
| Pro | $100 per month ($90 per month, billed yearly) | Small teams that build a lot |
| Enterprise | Custom pricing | Large organizations |
The “Starter” plan gives daily credits for the agent, with a monthly cap, and a lighter version of the agent. Only one published app, taken down after 30 days (you can republish it). No “Plan” mode, no connection to your other apps, and a “Made with Replit” badge on the page.
Start on “Starter”: it is enough to see whether the tool suits you. Move to Core at $20 if your app needs to stay online for more than 30 days or connect to your other software. Keep an eye on your usage under “Settings,” “Usage”: the “Power” and “Max” levels are billed by effort.

What it does less well
The prompt to copy
Build a sign-up site for our company’s internal workshops, in English. Visitors see the list of upcoming workshops, open a workshop’s details, and sign up with their name and department. Use realistic made-up examples. It is a success if navigation works, if signing up shows a confirmation, and if the page reads well on a phone. Do not add login, a database, or payment for now.
