Stay on the free plan. Duck.ai is mostly for one-off questions, and the free plan is enough for that. The subscription makes sense if you also want DuckDuckGo’s VPN. For a full work assistant, with files and projects, look at a standard tool instead.

What it does less well
- It is a simple chat: do not expect all the features of the ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini apps. According to an independent test from July 2026, you cannot attach a file.
- The free AI models are fast versions, less comfortable with difficult requests. The daily limit is not published.
