Mistral Vibe pricing, use cases, and first steps

Vibe is the assistant from Mistral AI, a French company. Until spring 2026, it was called Le Chat. You describe the result you expect (a brief, a summary, a spreadsheet) and it handles it step by step: it searches the web, reads your files and, if you allow it, your email and calendar.

Mistral Vibe has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Pro, €14.99 per month, excl. tax (€17.99 on the French App Store). Prices checked on October 5, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Mistral Vibe does

Who it’s for: people who want a European assistant to prepare meetings, summaries, and documents, without changing tools.

It reads your email, calendar, and files

Once your tools are connected, Vibe goes to get the information where it lives: Gmail, Google Calendar, Outlook, SharePoint, Slack, Notion, Box, and others. Before sending an email or creating a meeting, it always asks for your approval.

A multistep task, before your eyes

You describe the result you want. Vibe breaks down the work, searches, reads, writes, and shows its list of steps in a panel on the right. A black square button stops everything at any time.

In-depth research, with its sources

For a substantial question, Vibe runs many web searches, cross-checks the pages it reads, and delivers a report with its sources.

Also

  • Get answers from an Excel or CSV file
  • Canvas: edit a document together
  • Scheduled tasks
  • Skills: your methods, reusable
  • It remembers what matters

Mistral Vibe pricing

Prices in euros checked on October 3, 2026. Mistral shows its prices excl. tax by default. On October 4, 2026, the pricing page viewed from outside France shows the same amounts in dollars ($14.99 and $24.99), 5 scheduled tasks at most on the free plan (no set number on Pro and Team) and, for Team, a minimum of $50 per month. The Excel download of spreadsheets being reserved for Pro comes from our October 3 check: it does not appear on the page read on October 4. Verified students get a discounted Pro plan, for 12 months at most. Mistral does not publish the exact number of messages for each plan.

What the free plan includes

Conversation, multistep tasks, web search, more than 100 connectors, image creation, Canvas, and dictation, on the web and on mobile. 5 scheduled tasks. The number of messages and web searches is limited.

Nova’s advice

Start for free: everything is there, in limited quantity. Move to Pro only if the limits block you several times a week. If your company already has a Team or Enterprise plan, log in with your work account and pay nothing yourself.

Free or paid: how usage is counted

Everything is free in small amounts. Paying raises the number of messages, searches, and images.

A first try, in 5 minutes

Your data. A French company and servers in Europe. On the free plan, your conversations may still be used to improve the AI, as long as you have not opted out.

What it does less well

  • There is no desktop app for Mac or Windows: on a computer, you use Vibe in the browser.
  • The microphone is for dictating your request. Vibe does not answer out loud.
