Manus is an agent: you hand it a whole task and it carries it out alone, on a virtual computer reserved for it, with a browser and files. It makes a plan, searches the web, writes, calculates, then delivers a finished result: a report, table, presentation, or website. You can close the window while it works. Each task uses credits.
Manus has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Free, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Manus does
Who it’s for: people with long, repetitive tasks to delegate: research on dozens of companies, recurring reports, presentations from scratch.
Agent mode: one task, from start to finish
Manus has a virtual computer with internet access and a file space. It breaks down your request, carries out each step, and delivers a complete result. It works unsupervised and stays on track through long tasks.
“Wide Research”: the same research across dozens of items
For a long list, Manus launches one agent per item, all at the same time. The last item on the list gets the same care as the first. The vendor has tested it with up to 250 items. Below 10, it isn’t useful.
“Manus Slides”: the complete presentation
From a description or a report, Manus does the research, writes, lays out the slides, and adds charts and speaker notes. Allow 5 to 15 minutes. You get an editable PowerPoint file or a PDF, and you can supply your own .pptx template.

“Automations”: tasks that start on their own

“Browser Operator”: it acts in your browser

Manus pricing
Prices published in dollars on the web, rechecked on October 4, 2026 in the Manus help center (the pricing page cannot be read). “Browser Operator”: Manus’s documentation still reserves it for paid plans, in beta; its blog says it has been open to everyone since November 22, 2025. Count on Pro to be sure you have it. In the iPhone app, subscriptions are in euros (from €22 per month). Monthly credits do not roll over; extra credits you buy roll over as long as the subscription is active. A task that fails because of a technical problem on Manus’s side is refunded in credits.

Nova’s advice
Try it for free first on a real task, to see whether the result is worth the review time. Move to Pro only if you have a recurring need: research on long lists or scheduled reports. To write, summarize, or analyze a document, a standard assistant is enough and costs less.
Free or paid: how usage is counted
Every task you hand the agent spends credits. The longer the task, the more it spends.
A first try, in 10 minutes
Your data. A powerful tool, but not very transparent: we were unable to verify where your data is hosted.
What it does less well
Does it work? For collecting public information on a long list, producing a first draft of a presentation, or a recurring report, yes. For a high-stakes task, or one that needs live back-and-forth, it is better to stay in control and get help from a standard assistant.
Manus can confidently state something false or incomplete. The vendor says so itself: it is a starting point, not an authority. Check anything involving money, law, or health.
Delegate a research task and get a table backManus
Open manus.im and paste the prompt below into the input box. Adjust the city and the number of people.
Look at the credit estimate, then start the task.
Watch a few steps: Manus opens sites, collects the information, and organizes it.
Do something else. Come back when the task is marked as complete.
Open the table it delivered. Click two or three sources to check that the prices and capacities are right.
Ask for a correction in the same conversation, for example: “Add a column on public transit access.”
The prompt to copy
Find 6 seminar venues in Lyon for 40 people, available on weekdays. For each: name, address, capacity, daily rate if public, equipment, link to the original page. Deliver a table, then recommend the best two in three lines.
