Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) pricing, use cases, and first steps

Coda changed its name on July 8, 2026: it is now called Superhuman Docs, and belongs to the company behind Grammarly. It is an online document where you mix text and real tables that are linked to one another: a project tracker, a client list, a schedule. The built-in assistant, “Docs AI,” writes, creates the tables, and fills them in at your request.

Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Free, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Superhuman Docs (formerly Coda) does

Who it’s for: Teams that track projects, requests, or clients in shared documents and are tired of juggling a text document and a spreadsheet.

Docs AI: the document’s assistant

A chat window open next to your page. You ask for a text, a table, or some reorganizing, and the assistant does it in the document. It can also look up information in your other documents.

The AI column: one answer per row

You add a column that the assistant fills in on its own, row after row: a summary, the action items, the key points, or whatever you ask. Handy on a table of fifty customer comments.

Rewrite a passage

You select some text, and the assistant rephrases it, lengthens it, or shortens it. The Grammarly checker is also available in the document.

Also

  • The AI block: a self-updating summary
  • Pull data out of a PDF or an image
  • One table, several views
  • Automations in three boxes
  • “Packs”: plug in your other tools

Prices published in dollars. These are the plans of the Superhuman suite, which brings together Docs, Grammarly, and the Go assistant. Former Coda customers keep their plan and their price: Coda Pro corresponds to Superhuman Pro, Coda Team to Superhuman Business. Coda’s AI credit system has been suspended since July 6, 2026.

What the free plan includes

Documents, tables, charts, card views, and forms. As soon as a document is shared, it is limited to 1,000 table rows and 50 objects (pages, tables, views, buttons). The assistant is offered only as a limited trial, and version history goes back 7 days.

Nova’s advice

Start with the free plan to build a first tracking document. It is enough as long as the document stays small. Move to Pro when you go past 1,000 rows in a shared document, or when you want the assistant without the trial limit. In Docs, only people who create documents (“Doc Makers”) are billed: those who read or edit do not pay.

What it does less well

  • The tool takes time to learn. A simple document comes together quickly, but linked tables, buttons, and formulas take several hours of practice.
  • The menus are in English, and the rename is not finished: you will still come across “Coda” in the extension, in Slack, and on some help pages.
Turn your meeting notes into a tracking tableSuperhuman Docs (formerly Coda)
  1. Create a new document and paste in the notes from your last meeting.
  2. Click the sparkle at the bottom right to open “Docs AI.”
  3. Paste the prompt below and send it. The assistant creates the table in the page.
  4. Check each row: are the owner and the date right? Fix them directly in the cells.
  5. Click the + to the right of the table to add a column, choose “AI,” then “Find action items” or “Summarize.” Click “Fill column” to fill it in.
  6. Share the document with your team: everyone checks off their actions in the same place.

The prompt to copy

From the notes on this page, create an action tracking table with four columns: Action, Owner, Due date, Status. One row per action. Write “To be confirmed” when information is missing, and don’t make anything up.
