OpusClip pricing, use cases, and first steps

OpusClip takes a long video (a webinar, an interview, a conference talk) and pulls short clips for social media out of it on its own. It spots the strong moments, reframes the picture on the person speaking, and adds animated captions. You paste a link or upload a file, then choose which clips to keep.

OpusClip has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Starter, $15 per month, no annual commitment. Prices checked on October 4, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What OpusClip does

Who it’s for: marketing, communications, and HR teams that already have long videos and want to give them a life on LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube.

Clips picked automatically, with a score

“ClipAnything” watches the picture, listens to the sound, and spots the moments that stand on their own. Each clip gets a score from 0 to 99, based on the hook, the pacing, and current trends. You can also describe what you are looking for.

Animated captions

The words appear on screen one by one, with key words in color and emojis if you want them. You can correct a word and change the font, size, color, and position.

Reframing that follows the person

“ReframeAnything” turns a horizontal video into a vertical, square, or wide format. It follows the important person or object to keep it in the frame.

OpusClip pricing

Prices are published in dollars. A free trial of the paid plans is offered without a card. In the iPhone app, the same plans are sold by Apple in euros: €15 for Starter, €29 per month or €174.99 per year for Pro. Checked on October 4, 2026. Credit rollover: the pricing page only mentions it for Pro (2 months). “AI B-Roll” footage: the pricing page places it in Pro; the vendor’s help center also grants 3 per day to Starter, and 50 per day to Pro. Agent Opus has its own pricing, at opus.pro/agent/pricing: Free (60 credits per month, or 2 videos of 30 seconds), Pro at $29 per month or $348 per year (3,600 credits per year, or 120 videos of 30 seconds, with no watermark), Max at $129 per month or $1,548 per year (18,000 credits per year, or 600 videos). Its credits are not OpusClip credits.

What the free plan includes

60 credits per month, or 60 minutes of analyzed video. Clips up to 1080p, automatic reframing, and animated captions. In return: a watermark, no editor, and clips that can no longer be exported after 3 days.

Nova’s advice

Run your first tests on the free plan, with a video under an hour long. If you publish for your company, take Starter for a month: the watermark disappears and the editor opens up. If you are sure you will use it all year, the Pro plan billed yearly costs less per month than Starter.

Free or paid: how usage is counted

One credit equals one minute of video to clip. A one-hour video costs 60 credits.

What it does less well

  • The score for each clip is an estimate, not a promise of reach. Always watch the whole clip: it may cut off a sentence or lack context.
  • On the free plan: watermark, no editor, and no export after 3 days.
Get three clips from a half-hour webinarOpusClip
  1. On the dashboard, paste the link to your video or upload the file.
  2. In the “Clip model” menu, choose “ClipAnything.”
  3. If you like, state the genre of the video and paste the prompt below. The vendor’s examples are in English: if the result disappoints, rewrite it in English.
  4. Choose a caption style in “Quick Presets,” then start.
  5. OpusClip shows the clips, each with a score out of 99. Watch the first three all the way through before you keep them.
  6. A misspelled word in the captions? Select it, click “Edit,” and correct it.
  7. Download your clips right away: on the free plan, they can no longer be exported after 3 days.
