Automatic captions
CapCut listens to the video and writes the captions, timed to the voice. It detects the spoken language on its own. You fix the text and change the style in one click. It can also translate the captions into another language.
CapCut is a video editing app for phone, computer, and browser. You trim clips, add text and music, and the app writes the captions on its own from what is said. It belongs to Bytedance, the group behind TikTok. It is available in France, and in French.
CapCut has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Free, €0. Prices checked on October 4, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
Who it’s for: communications, marketing, and HR teams that post short videos on social media without a video editor.

You cut out the parts you don’t need, change the speed, and add text, music, filters, and transitions. Everything happens on a timeline, with your finger or the mouse.
A template already contains the pacing, the animated text, and the music. You swap in your own footage. CapCut offers templates for social media and for businesses.

Don’t pay anything to start: the free plan is enough to cut, add titles, and export. If you move to a paid plan, choose Pro over Standard as soon as you also edit on a computer: Standard only works on the phone. Check the price in your own app before you confirm, because it changes by device.
Editing is free, with no meter. The subscription opens up items marked with a diamond and gives you credits for AI.
