PrestaShop is business software: you use it to create and run an online store (products, orders, customers, payments). Created in France, it is free to download and installs with the hosting provider of your choice. Since version 9.2, the “Ask AI” assistant answers your questions about the store and prepares actions, which you approve before they are carried out.

An assistant built into the admin area. You ask a question about your orders, products, or customers, and it answers with the store’s numbers. It can also prepare an action, such as creating a product: nothing changes without your approval.
Each product has its page: photos, description, price, stock, shipping, search engine settings. One product can come in several sizes or colors. You can also sell downloadable files or bundles.
When you open the admin area, you see sales, the number of orders, the average order value, visits, and the conversion rate. A panel flags pending orders, abandoned carts, and out-of-stock products.

If someone on the team or an agency knows how to manage hosting, choose Classic: the software costs nothing. Otherwise, look at Hosted, or at a hosting provider that installs PrestaShop for you. Either way, add it all up before you start: hosting, paid modules, and the AI usage billed by the provider you connect to Ask AI.
