A written answer, study by study
In “Pro” mode, Consensus first finds the studies, then writes an answer from the 20 most relevant. Every claim links to its study. It can also present the result as a table if you ask.
Consensus is a search engine that answers only from published scientific studies. You ask a question, it searches more than 220 million papers, then writes an answer where every sentence links to the study it comes from. For a yes-or-no question, a meter shows whether the studies mostly agree or are split.
Consensus has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Free, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
Who it’s for: anyone who wants to check a claim against serious studies without being a researcher: HR, marketing, healthcare, quality, leadership.

For a yes-or-no question, a meter sorts the studies by their conclusion: yes, possibly, mixed, no. It draws on the 5 to 20 most relevant studies and does not appear with fewer than 5.
Consensus breaks your question into sub-questions, runs up to 20 searches, scans more than 1,000 papers, and keeps about fifty for a structured report with tables and figures.
