Text becomes a visual
You select a passage and Napkin suggests several ways to draw it: steps, cycle, comparison, timeline, mind map, chart. You describe nothing: it reads your text and chooses the shapes.
Napkin AI turns text into a diagram: a step-by-step process, a comparison, a timeline, a mind map, a chart. You paste your paragraph, click a button, and several visuals are suggested. You pick one, adjust it, then export it for your presentation or document.
Napkin AI has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Free, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
Who it’s for: anyone who has to explain something in a presentation, a report, or an email, and who isn’t comfortable with drawing tools.
You select a passage and Napkin suggests several ways to draw it: steps, cycle, comparison, timeline, mind map, chart. You describe nothing: it reads your text and chooses the shapes.
You set the type of visual (timeline, table, mind map), the orientation (portrait, landscape, square), and the level of detail. The “Stay closer to my text” option keeps your exact words in the diagram.
Nothing is locked. You correct a text, change an icon, a color, a size, or add a shape. Editing a visual by hand does not depend on AI.
