What Gamma does

Who it’s for: anyone who has to present something and has neither the time nor the desire to spend an evening on layout.

Create a presentation from a topic

You describe the topic in a few lines. Gamma suggests an outline, you correct it, then it writes and lays out each slide, images included.

Paste your notes and have them laid out

You paste existing text: meeting notes, minutes, an article. Gamma splits it into slides and handles the form, without reinventing the substance.

Start from a file or a web page

You import a PowerPoint, a document, or a web address. Gamma takes the content and gives it a fresh layout.

Gamma pricing

Prices checked on October 3, 2026, on Gamma’s French page, with yearly billing, excl. tax. On October 4, 2026, the pricing page did not show its prices when we rechecked: they could not be verified a second time. Monthly payment costs more: Gamma’s help states a 28% discount with yearly billing. Ultra is an exception: Gamma’s help, reread on October 5, 2026, says that for now it can only be paid monthly, at a launch price. Our October 3 record showed €77.33 per month, billed yearly (€928): check the Ultra price on the pricing page before paying. Credits confirmed on October 4 in Gamma’s help: 400 at sign-up on the free plan, then 1,000 per month for Plus, 4,000 for Pro, 20,000 for Ultra. Gamma does not publish the cost of a creation in the app; only its developer rate card gives ranges. Subscriptions are paid per user.

What the free plan includes

400 credits when you sign up, which do not refill. Up to 10 slides per generation. PDF and PowerPoint import; export to PDF, PowerPoint, PNG, and Google Slides. The “Made with Gamma” badge stays displayed.

Nova’s advice

Start for free: 400 credits are enough for several presentations. Choose Plus the day you present every week or the “Made with Gamma” badge bothers you in front of a client. For confidential content, ask your employer for the Business plan.

Free or paid: how usage is counted

Creating with AI spends credits. Paid plans refill them every month; the free plan gives them only once.

What it does less well

  • The generated text stays generic if your prompt is vague. Gamma can also make up a number: review everything before presenting.
  • The export is not always faithful. In PowerPoint, rounded table corners become square and some gradients are simplified. Google Slides does not carry over the theme’s fonts.
Turn a five-point outline into a presentationGamma
  1. Open gamma.app and click the create button, then “Generate.”
  2. Choose the presentation format and paste the prompt below.
  3. Gamma suggests an outline. Review it, fix a title, delete a section you don’t need.
  4. Choose an understated theme, then start the generation. The slides appear one by one.
  5. Click a slide, then the sparkle icon, and ask: “Shorten this text to three bullet points.”

The prompt to copy

8-slide presentation for an executive committee: quarterly review of our customer service department. Points to cover: request volume, response time, satisfaction, two difficulties, three decisions to make. Understated tone, short sentences, one key figure per slide.
