Magnific (formerly Freepik) pricing, use cases, and first steps

Freepik is now called Magnific: same team, same tools, new address (magnific.com). You’ll find two things there. First, a library of more than 250 million photos, icons, illustrations, and templates to download. Second, a suite of tools that create images, videos, voices, and music from a description, bringing together models from many vendors.

Magnific (formerly Freepik) has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Premium, $20 per month, or $14.50 per month billed yearly. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Magnific (formerly Freepik) does

Who it’s for: people who prepare materials without being designers: presentations, posts, sales documents, internal communications.

A library of 250 million assets

Photos, illustrations, icons, presentation templates, mockups, videos, sounds, and fonts. You search by keyword, download, and receive the editable file with its license.

Create an image with more than 30 models

You describe the image and choose a model, or let “Auto” choose for you. You set the format and the number of images (1 to 4), and you can add references: a style, a character, an object, a color.

Edit an existing image

The editor groups several tools: erase or replace an area, crop or extend the image beyond its edges, change the style, change the viewing angle. Light and color adjustments cost no credits.

Also

  • Improve an image’s quality
  • Create a short video
  • Voice, sound effects, and music
  • Place a visual on a mockup
  • “Spaces”: chain tools together

What the free plan includes

20 AI images per day with the in-house model, and 10 downloads per day from the library. Attribution to Magnific is required on free assets. AI images created on the free plan are for personal use only. Video and audio: unavailable or very limited.

Nova’s advice

Stay on the free plan if you mainly need a few icons and photos, with attribution to Magnific. Choose Premium as soon as you create for your company: it’s the plan that gives you the commercial license on AI images and removes the required attribution. Take the yearly option only if you’re sure you’ll use it.

A first try, in 5 minutes

Your data. A Spanish vendor, subject to GDPR, that commits to not training its models on your images or your voices.

What it does less well

  • The credit system is hard to predict: an image costs from 5 to more than 500 credits, a video from 200 to more than 3,000. The “unlimited” in Premium+ covers neither video, nor audio, nor upscaling.
  • On the free plan, AI images cannot be used commercially, and every asset from the library must carry the attribution to Magnific.
Find an icon, then create the image that’s missingMagnific (formerly Freepik)
  1. In the “Stock” menu, search for “delivery icon.” Open a free result and click the download button, on the right side of the page.
  2. The file arrives compressed. Open it: it contains the image, the editable file, and the license text.
  3. Move on to creation: “Image” menu, then the AI image generator.
  4. Paste the prompt below into the input field. Leave the model on “Auto,” choose the landscape format, and start the creation.
  5. Click the image you like best to download it. If you reuse the free icon in a document, add the credit “Designed by Magnific.”

The prompt to copy

Realistic photo of a delivery driver seen from behind, dropping off a package at the door of an office building, morning light, natural colors, no visible logo, empty space on the left to add a title. Landscape format.
