lemlist is specialized sales prospecting software, made in Paris. You prepare a series of messages (emails, LinkedIn, calls) that go out on their own to a list of prospects. AI does three things here: find prospects that match your target, write the campaign, and write an opening line for each person that is specific to them.
lemlist has no free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Email, $55 per month, billed yearly ($69 billed monthly). Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What lemlist does
Who it’s for: salespeople, founders, and recruiters who contact companies they don’t know yet.
Campaigns that combine email, LinkedIn, and calls
You build a sequence of steps: a first email, a LinkedIn invitation three days later, a follow-up, a call task. Each prospect moves through the sequence at their own pace, and you track opens, clicks, and replies.
lemAgent: describe what you want, and it prepares it
An assistant you write to in plain language. It searches for prospects, builds the campaign, writes the messages, analyzes your results, and drafts replies. It has you approve the strategy and the copy before going further.
A tailored line for each prospect
You add a column to your list and write a prompt. lemlist fills in the column row by row: it cleans up a job title, or writes an opening line from the LinkedIn profile and the company’s website. You then drop that column into your emails.

Nova’s advice
Use the 14-day trial to complete the technical setup and send a small campaign. If you only prospect by email, the Email plan is enough and the whole team can log in to it. Only go for Multichannel if LinkedIn or the phone are truly part of your approach.

Your data. lemlist is run by a French company and states that it hosts its databases only in the European Union.
What it does less well
Getting started isn’t within reach of a beginner alone: the domain name settings require help from IT. Without them, your emails go to spam.
lemAgent says it itself: a vague prompt produces a bland message. It isn’t a general-purpose assistant, and it has a daily usage limit.
Ask lemAgent to prepare a first campaignlemlist
Open lemAgent, in the left sidebar.
Paste the prompt below, replacing the target and the offer with your own. The more specific you are, the better the result.
lemAgent sometimes asks one or two questions before answering. Just answer them.
It proposes a strategy: goal, target, message angle. Read it, then click “Validate.”
Review each message in the proposed sequence and fix whatever doesn’t sound like you.
Don’t launch anything yet. First send the campaign to your own address to see what a prospect will receive.
The prompt to copy
Find 20 CFOs at manufacturing companies with 50 to 200 employees in France. Prepare a campaign of three short emails offering them a demo of our expense report tracking software. Direct, polite tone, no jargon.
