Indy is a specialized business tool: an accounting app for freelancers, with invoicing and a business account. You connect your bank and every transaction arrives in Indy. AI does one thing here: it reads the transaction description and files it under the right accounting category. Indy says more than 90% of transactions are categorized on their own. It is not an assistant you talk to.
Indy has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Essentiel, €0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Indy does
Who it’s for: people who are self-employed in France: micro-entrepreneurs, licensed professionals, owners of small companies (SASU, EURL, SAS, SARL), furnished-rental landlords, and SCIs (property holding companies).
Transactions categorized on their own
Every payment and every deposit comes in from your bank. Indy’s AI reads the description and picks the accounting category. Indy says more than 90% of transactions are recognized. For the rest, it suggests a category and you confirm.
Your bank connected to your books
Indy pulls in the activity from your business accounts, up to 12 accounts. You no longer import statements by hand.
Unlimited quotes and invoices
You fill in a form and watch the invoice take shape beside it. You add your logo and colors. An accepted quote becomes an invoice, with or without a deposit.
Also
E-invoicing, ready for the French reform
Proof of every expense, in a photo
Returns prepared from your figures
A business account with no everyday fees
Late-payment reminders and quote signing
Indy pricing

Nova’s advice
Start with the Essentiel plan: it’s free and already includes automatic categorization, invoices, and e-invoicing. Move to Premium the day you want Indy to prepare and file your returns. Paid plans are refunded within 30 days if they don’t suit you.

Your data. Indy is a French company based in Lyon; its privacy policy does not specify the hosting country and does not mention AI training.
What it does less well
AI is limited to categorizing transactions. The pages reviewed mention no assistant you can ask a question in plain language.
Automatic categorization isn’t perfect: expect one transaction in ten to file or correct yourself. A category error skews your returns, so review.
Categorize the month’s transactions in a few clicksIndy
Your bank is connected. Open the “Transactions” tab.
Click “Catégoriser ces transactions” (categorize these transactions): Indy shows only the lines it didn’t file on its own.
Under each line, read the suggestion flagged as a maybe. If it’s right, click it.
If it’s wrong, choose “À catégoriser” (to categorize), then type a simple word in the search bar, for example “loyer” (rent) or “téléphone” (phone), to find the right category.
A mistake later on? Click a transaction’s category to change it. Nothing is final.
