Automatic invoice reading
You upload an invoice as a PDF or a photo. Pennylane extracts the amount, the VAT rate, and the issue date, so you do not have to retype them.
Pennylane is a French accounting and business management tool: invoices, purchases, banking, and cash flow, shared between the company and its accountant. It is a specialist tool. Its AI reads your invoices, suggests a category for each bank transaction, requests missing supporting documents, and answers the firm’s questions. It prepares, you approve.
Pennylane has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Essentiel (small business), €49 per month, excl. tax. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
Who it’s for: CPAs and their staff, and within the company, business owners, finance managers, and anyone who submits invoices or expense reports.

You forward an invoice to your upload address, or you photograph it with your phone. Documents in attachments and in the body of the email are all picked up.
Pennylane sorts your bank transactions by category and matches each payment to its invoice. It makes suggestions, which you accept or correct.
