Qonto pricing, use cases, and first steps

Qonto is business software: an online business account with cards, invoicing, and expense tracking, for freelancers and small businesses. AI does three things in it. It reads your receipts and files them with the right payment. Two agents, “The Operator” and “The Analyst,” prepare your transactions and answer your questions. And you can also query Qonto from Claude or ChatGPT.

Qonto has no free plan. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Qonto does

Who it’s for: small business owners, freelancers, and employees who pay with a Qonto card and have to provide their receipts.

The receipt photographed and filed for you

You take a photo of the receipt in the app. Qonto reads the amount, date, and vendor, then attaches it to the matching payment. Qonto presents these scanned receipts as certified.

The Operator prepares, you confirm

You describe what you want in one sentence. The agent prepares the transfer, card, or invoice, then shows you the result. Nothing goes out without your confirmation.

The Analyst answers from your numbers

You ask a question about your finances. The agent goes through the account history and answers with amounts: spending by category, balance, changes in cash flow. It can produce a CSV export.

Also

  • Invoices created and followed up
  • Pay several people at once
  • Bookkeeping, prepared
  • Qonto in your assistant
  • Missing receipt reminders

Nova’s advice

If you are an employee, you have nothing to choose: the company pays. If you are self-employed, start with Basic during the trial month: the agents and receipt reading are already in it. Move to Smart if your accountant needs to log in or if 30 transfers per month are not enough.

What it does less well

  • An agent can misunderstand a request: wrong beneficiary, wrong amount, wrong date. Always review the confirmation screen before you approve. It is your money going out.
  • Answers from “The Analyst” are a help, not your accounting. Before you rely on an important figure, check it in the transaction list.
Ask your accounts a questionQonto
  1. Open Qonto on a computer and click the chat bubble at the bottom right.
  2. Paste the prompt below. It is a question: nothing moves on the account.
  3. Read the answer from “The Analyst” and compare one or two figures with your transaction list, to check.
  4. Then ask for a simple action, for example: “Prepare a €50 transfer to” followed by the name of a saved beneficiary.
  5. “The Operator” shows the transfer ready to go, with the amount and the beneficiary. Review it. Confirm only if you really want to send it, otherwise cancel.
