Granola is a notepad installed on your computer. During a meeting, it listens to your computer’s audio and your microphone, then writes the meeting notes for you. No bot joins the call: the participant list doesn’t change, and Granola keeps neither audio nor video, only text.
Granola has a free plan. The recommended plan to start with: Basic, $0. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.

What Granola does
Who it’s for: anyone with back-to-back meetings and calls: salespeople, managers, recruiters, business owners.
Take notes with no bot on the call
Granola listens to your computer’s audio and your microphone, and turns the conversation into text as it happens. Nothing joins the meeting. So it works with Zoom, Google Meet, Teams, a Slack call, or a conversation around a table.
Meeting notes that blend your notes and its own
When the meeting ends, Granola brings together what was said, what you typed, and the calendar details. It turns them into notes organized by topic. Each point links back to the passage in the conversation.
Templates by meeting type
You choose the shape of the notes to fit the meeting: sales call, one-on-one, team sync. You can create your own templates with the sections you want.

What the free plan includes
Meeting notes, templates, chat with your meetings (on the automatic setting), sending to Slack, and shared folders. Only notes from the last 30 days stay visible in the app: older ones are kept, but hidden until you move to a paid plan.
Nova’s advice
Start with the free plan: it’s enough to judge the tool on your real meetings. Move to Business the day you need to find a meeting more than a month old, or send your notes to Notion or your CRM.
Free or paid: how usage is counted
No meter: Granola takes notes on all your meetings. The free plan only shows the last 30 days.
A first try, in 5 minutes
Your data. Granola does not keep the audio recording, only the text of the conversation and your notes, stored in the United States.
What it does less well
The interface is in English only: menus, buttons, and settings.
No audio or video recording is kept. You can’t replay a passage to check what was really said: review the notes while the meeting is fresh.
Let Granola take the notes in your next meetingGranola
One minute before the meeting, Granola shows a notification. Click it: the video call and the note open. For an unplanned call, click “New Note.”
Tell participants you’re using a note-taking tool, and check that no one objects.
Green bars move at the bottom of the window: Granola is listening. Type only the few words that matter to you, a number or an idea.
When the call ends, the notes write themselves. What you typed yourself appears in black.
Click the small magnifying glass next to a point to read the part of the conversation it comes from.
Open the chat bar at the bottom of the screen, paste the prompt below, and review the result before you send it.
The prompt to copy
List the decisions made and the action items, with an owner and a due date for each. Then write a short, friendly follow-up email for the participants.
Basic: $0; Business: $14 per user per month; Enterprise: $35 per user per month. Prices checked on October 3, 2026 on the vendor’s official page.
