What to check

What you write commits you: a salon promises neither to treat nor to cure. Reread every price and every duration before you print.

Write the service menuChatGPT · “Chat” mode
  1. List your treatments the way you note them for yourself: name, duration, price, what you do during the treatment.
  2. In ChatGPT, in “Chat” mode, paste the prompt below, then your list.
  3. Ask for “simpler” or “shorter” for the descriptions that sound like an ad.
  4. Check every duration and every price, then remove any word that promises a result.

The prompt to copy

I run a beauty salon in [city]. My clients: [who they are]. Here are my treatments, with their duration, their price, and what I do during each one: [paste your list]. Write my service menu, sorted by category: face, body, hair removal, hands and feet. For each treatment: the name, the duration, the price, then two lines that say who it is for and what the client feels during and after. A polite tone, plain words, no medical terms, no promise of results such as “erases” or “removes.” Use my durations and prices without changing them, and don’t make up any treatment.

Ground rules

The rules to follow with AI in this job

Always do this

  • A client record contains personal data, and often health data: allergy, pregnancy, ongoing medical treatment. It is never pasted into a consumer assistant, even to be reworded.
  • You don’t make diagnoses, and neither does AI. Faced with a lesion, a reaction, or a doubt, you refer the client to a doctor.
  • What you write about a treatment commits you: no promise of results, no medical words. Check every text AI suggests before you display it.
  • A photo of a client, before-and-after included, is posted only with her written consent and without retouching the result.

Never hand this to AI

  • Asking an assistant whether a treatment is suitable for a client who reports a health problem, a pregnancy, or a medical treatment.
  • Having fake reviews written, or touching up a before-and-after photo.
  • Pasting your client file into an assistant, with names, phone numbers, and treatments performed.
